MATILDA V ANNIE – October Half Term Musical Theatre Camp – Ages 6-14
CTA Performing Arts, established in 2008, is an award-winning dance and musical theatre school for young performers aged 3-18, featuring a world-class faculty of West End creatives. We are proud to have trained four West End Matilda’s, including one young performer from our Matilda Musical in a Week Summer Camp in 2023, who has gone on to play Matilda in the West End and is currently portraying Young Cosette in Les Misérables!
About Our Matilda v Annie October Half Term Musical Theatre Camp
Join us for an exciting week of musical theatre as we pit two beloved shows against each other: Matilda and Annie! Led by a talented team of West End creatives—including the acclaimed West End star Stevie Doc, who recently starred in The Devil Wears Prada as Andi, and has starred in Mamma Mia as Sophie, after winning the ITV reality show Mamma Mia: I Have a Dream—your child will have a unique opportunity to learn from the best.
Who Is This Musical Theatre Camp Suitable For?
This camp is perfect for children who love musicals, singing, dancing, and acting! No previous performing experience is necessary—just enthusiasm and a passion for the stage. Beginners will be nurtured throughout the week, while more experienced performers will be encouraged and challenged, with opportunities to take on lead roles. Most importantly, your child should love Matilda and Annie!
Camp Schedule
- Dates: Monday to Friday, October Half Term
- Time: 10 AM – 5 PM
- Location: CTA Performing Arts in our professional dance studios
- Performance: Friday at 4 PM for parents and siblings
About the Shows
Which musical do you prefer: Annie or Matilda? During this week-long camp, your child will delve into both musicals, as well as explore songs from other favourites like Wicked and Seussical. Together, we will create an amazing and fun show, leaving the ultimate decision up to you, the audience, to decide which musical reigns supreme!
Our cast will perform in costume, adding to the excitement and creativity of the week!

As a family business, run by myself and my husband Phil, and located in central Chiswick – (we are not a franchise) we pride ourselves on our commitment to every student who attends CTA Performing Arts, whether they attend weekly classes or attend our holiday camps. If your child loves musicals and performing or if your child has dreams of a career on the stage – then our Musical Theatre Half Term camp will be the perfect outlet for their talent and enthusiasm.
Every student who walks through our doors is important to us – so whether your child wants to play Matilda or Annie or because you are looking for a Half Term Camp where your child will gain confidence, creative skills and perhaps discover a new talent + making new friendships – our Musica Theatre camp will be truly inspirational.
With the inspiration, support and guidance of our talented and experienced teaching faculty, our students are nurtured and developed to reach their full potential as performers and directed on a path of creativity, self-confidence, expression and individualism.
Our students have starred in West Ends shows, Disney films, Regional Theatre, TV shows, and worked with Hollywood royalty. Graduates have also gone on to study at Oxford and Cambridge, training to be Doctors, Lawyers, Architects, Social Workers as well as those who have chosen a career within the Performing Arts. We believe that the skills we teach are transferable to all life aspects. In many findings, researchers are linking the study of performing arts to better child development and higher academic achievement.
